Our client, a Chinese Bank, is recruiting a Senior Network, Server and Desktop Support Associate to work in their offices near Bank Tube station in London. Candidates for this position must not currently be working for a Chinese company.
The duties and responsibilities he/she is going to take on this job include, but are not limited to:
1. Manages and administers various desktop operating systems; 2. Manages and administers local configurations and utilities associated with desktop environment; 3. Manages data backup and keep record of backup task; 4. Utilizes remote management tools and utilities to diagnose and resolve desktop problems; 5. Performs proactive server monitoring for the desktop environment; 6. Performs Root Cause Analysis to identify and prevent operational problems; 7. Coordinates the installation of equipment and software necessary to meet the clients’ desktop requirements in the most efficient and cost effective manner; 8. Collaborates with other team members and or other groups to plan projects or resolve problems; 9. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with the various internal and external support teams; 10. Maintains and manages a working relationship with third party vendors and suppliers; 11. Ensures effective client services and adapt processes according to client satisfaction feedback and on-going dialog; 12. Creates and maintains accurate and up to date procedures and technical documentation; 13. Communicates issues to team leads, regional, or global management.
Core Qualification: Knowledge: 1. Knowledge of systems and network administration, telecommunications and various types of desktop and server hardware and software; 2. Experience with managing and troubleshooting the Cisco switches and other network equipment.
Skills and Abilities: 1. Excellent information technology knowledge with strong problem solving skills; 2. Good people skills, teamwork, and relationship building skills; 3. Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin, both written and verbal; 4. Expert on MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) a plus; 5. Ability to supervise and manage a team; 6. Ability to work overtime if required.
Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree or above on Information Technology or equivalent 2. 5 years experience in information technology support and 2 or more years as a team leader 3. Certifications of MCSE and CCNA 4. Experience in finance sector is a plus
Salary: In the region of £40 to 50k per year negotiable depending on experience.
